Post a response to the following question:
How do plants help with climate change?  What steps can you take to combat climate change using the information you just read about?

Your response should be thoughtful and well-written.  It should be a minimum of 5 sentences.  Do not write the same thing as any of your classmates!

  1. Plants play a huge role on reducing climate change. Plants go through the process of photosynthesis which is when plants absorb the carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and as a result make carbon-containing sugars. This allows a cleaner atmosphere for us to breathe in. I can reduce climate change by powering down electronics, using less water, and by recycling recyclable materials. By doing so, I can leave less of a carbon footprint and do my part to reduce climate change.

  2. Plants help with climate change because they absorb carbon dioxide during the process of photosynthesis. Carbon Dioxide in the atmosphere contributes to 55% of the greenhouse effect. By Plants absorbing the CO2, the air is filtered, and that percentage can be lowered. CO2 is released back into the atmosphere by the burning of fossil fuels. A way for humans to combat climate change is practice fuel efficient strategies and burn as minimal an amount of fossil fuels as possible.

  4. Plants help reduce climate change because they perform photosynthesis which reduces the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. This process creates cleaner air for us to breathe and lessens the greenhouse effect. Photosynthesis helps reduce the greenhouse effect and helps combat the negative effects of the burning of fossil fuels. One way we can combat climate change is by burning less fossil fuels and by using less water and electricity. By reducing our carbon footprint we can lessen the amount of climate change.

  5. Plants help with climate change because they absorb carbon dioxide through photosynthesis, since it is needed for the process. The greenhouse effect is affecting the climate change, but the plants are helping it by taking in all the CO2. Photosynthesis is helpful for both the atmosphere and autotrophs. A major cause of climate change is the increase in burning fossil fuels which releases CO2. To fix the greenhouse effect issue, we can burn less fossil fuels and recycle items. Also, we can plant more trees or any other plants, so they can take in the carbon dioxide instead.
